Dean Necklace Sentenced in U.S. District Court

The U.S. Attorney for the District of Montana issued the following news release:

The United States Attorney’s Office announced that during a federal court session in Great Falls, on July 19, 2010, before U.S. District Judge Sam E. Haddon, DEAN NECKLACE, a 35-year-old resident of Brockton, appeared for sentencing. NECKLACE was sentenced to a term of:

* Prison: 37 months

* Special Assessment: $100

* Supervised Release: 3 years

NECKLACE was sentenced in connection with his guilty plea to domestic assault by a habitual offender.

In an Offer of Proof filed by Assistant U.S. Attorney Carl E. Rostad, the government stated it would have proved at trial the following:

In the early morning hours of December 21,thanksgiving bangles, 2009, Fort Peck Tribal Law Enforcement received a call from an individual who advised that his niece, D.W.F.,buy tiffany, had been beaten by NECKLACE. When officers arrived at the individual’s home, they found D.W.F. bloodied and bruised. D.W.F. indicated that she and NECKLACE,tiffany key ring, who had been living together for the past two months, had been drinking at a local Poplar bar. When they got into the car, NECKLACE began beating her and she was rendered unconscious. When she awoke, NECKLACE was gone.

D.W.F. was then taken to the emergency room where her injuries were photographed and she was treated. NECKLACE was arrested and entered a guilty plea to an assault charge, counseled by an attorney, in Fort Peck Tribal Court.

NECKLACE has at least two prior and separate convictions for domestic violence –December 14,cuff Links, 2004 and August 30, 2006,buy tiffany money clips, both in Billings Municipal Court for partner or family member assault. He also has numerous Fort Peck tribal convictions for domestic violence.

Because there is no parole in the federal system, the "truth in sentencing" guidelines mandate that NECKLACE will likely serve all of the time imposed by the court. In the federal system, NECKLACE does have the opportunity to earn a sentence reduction for "good behavior." However, this reduction will not exceed 15% of the overall sentence.

The investigation was a cooperative effort between the Fort Peck Tribes Criminal Investigation Division and the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

Ten reasons to love Lady Gaga

OK, you really don’t have to love Lady Gaga.

It’s optional, like everything else in pop culture. In fact, there’s probably a 50-50 split, buy tiffany rings, at best, on those who love her and those who rue the day she ever appeared on the cultural landscape.

But, to her credit, unlike so many bland pop stars of this generation, shop for tiffany key rings, she provokes an intense reaction — good or bad — more with her outlandish wardrobe and over-the-top theatrics than her rather conventional dance-pop music.

She paid some dues to get to that point. A nice Italian girl from New York City, Stefani Angelina Germanotta started playing piano at age 4 and braved the open mikes as young as 14. Within a few years, she went from high school thespian to NYU music student to New York cabaret club performer.

Signed and dropped by Def Jam at 19, she got her break as a songwriter for Interscope, where her vocal talents couldn’t be contained. In late 2008, she released "The Fame," which debuted at No. 17 on the charts and climbed, on the strength of singles "Just Dance," "Poker Face," LoveGame" and "Paparazzi," to peak at No. 2 after 62 weeks.

With exposure to her shocking award-show appearances, magazine covers and viral videos, the Lady Gaga audience was primed for the eight-song second release, "The Fame Monster," fueled by "Bad Romance," which went to No. 2 in the States and topped the charts in 18 countries.

More than just a video phenom, tiffany key rings for sale, she’s been able to back up the hype as a live performer, starting with opening slots on Pussycat Dolls and New Kids on the Block tours, and moving on to her first headlining tour in March 2009. That one didn’t stop in Pittsburgh, but we get our first live look at her when she plays the Consol Energy Center Sunday as part of the Monster Ball Tour.

In honor of that — and because she doesn’t do many interviews — we offer 10 Reasons to Love Lady Gaga:

1. Bad Romance

"Rah-rah-ah-ah-ah! Roma-ro-mamaaa! Ga-ga-ooh-la-la!" Ahhhhhh! Make it stop! No, give me more! Her chart-topping hit from "The Fame Monster" is the catchiest, sexiest, most grotesque, most grating and most irresistible song of the past who-knows-when. It burrows into your brain like a larvae and won’t leave. It’s Madonna meets Marilyn Manson on the Eurodisco floor. Just as infectious is the stylized sci-fi video that is one of the most-viewed YouTube clips of all time for good reason. One second she looks absolutely gorgeous crying into the camera, tiffany necklace, the next she’s doing that horrific robotic twist or gazing at us with pupils the size of quarters. We hate this song. We love this song!

2. The bloody VMAs

Something must have been happening in the stars on Sept. 12, 2009, because it was a crazy career-changing night in the music industry at the MTV Video Music Awards. Kanye West pulled his mike-stealing stunt on Taylor Swift, altering both careers. And Lady Gaga filled a scrapbook with images we’ll never forget, starting with her funereal look on the red carpet, continuing with the red-laced dress that creepily covered her face and climaxing with her hideous, blood-soaked performance of "Paparazzi." If we didn’t know it before, we knew then that Lady Gaga was as much Warholian performance artist as pop artist.

3. She can sing … play … and write

This one is a bit of a no-brainer. Even her biggest detractors, and they are many and loud, will state the various reasons they dislike her — "style over substance" being the No. 1 — but then come around to admit, "Yeah, but she can sing." Yes, she can. She’s not Christina Aguilera, but she’s in the ballpark. Lady Gaga doesn’t need to lip-synch, doesn’t need autotune, discount tiffany Pendants, and has demonstrated that she can sit at the piano by herself and sing and play like the New York cabaret star she could have been. Furthermore, regardless of what you think of her songs, she has at least a hand in writing them all.

4. She took her name from Queen

Imagine her trying to crack the mainstream fronting the Stefani Germanotta Band, as she did for a while around 2005. Not real sexy. The widely told story is that producer Rob Fusari, after comparing her vocal style to Queen’s Freddie Mercury, made "Radio Gaga" her entrance song when she came into the studio. He’s been quoted as saying "[Lady Gaga] was actually a glitch; I typed ‘Radio Ga Ga’ in a text and it did an autocorrect so somehow ‘Radio’ got changed to ‘Lady.’ She texted me back, ‘That’s it.’ After that day, she was Lady Gaga. She’s like, ‘Don’t ever call me Stefani again.’ " She’s also said that she "adored Freddie Mercury."

5. Rain on ‘Today Show’

What would Madonna, Britney or Bon Jovi have done if it had started pouring down rain in the midst of their live TV show gig, their makeup starting running and their hair went to hell? They may have run for Al Roker’s umbrella. Not Lady Gaga. She not only hung in there on that soaking, humid July 9 day in front of nearly 20,000 fans and millions at home, but also she rolled around on the wet stage in her white outfit, proving she can veer from the game plan and deal with whatever is thrown her way.

6. Stage dive at Lollapalooza

Remember when Joan Jett sang "Do you want to touch me there — where?" She didn’t really mean it. At a side stage at Lollapalooza on Aug. 7, Lady Gaga appeared in the wings during a set by her friends’ band, Semi Precious Weapons, then walked out and executed a perfect backward stage dive, practically naked, in sheer lingerie. She let the crowd grope her for a minute or so, and then peaced. One of the gutsier maneuvers we’ve seen from a pop star, especially a female one.

7. ‘Little Monster’ Tweets

"Haven’t left the studio. Each song I write, I feel closer to you. Miss you little monsters, little inspirations. X" … "Just emerged from studio bender to hear we won two teen choice awards. Thank you for believing in me little monsters! I’m your hooker. X" Lady Gaga isn’t as chatty as John Mayer, Taylor Swift or OchoCinco on Twitter, but she has the most Twitter followers in the world with 5.7 million. Part of the reason is the overall fascination with Gaga. Another is that she uses the format not just to promote herself but to send the love out to her fans, her "little monsters." During a religious protest of one of her concerts in St. Louis, she tweeted, "Their message is of hatred and divisiveness, but inside at the Monsterball we preach love and unity."

8. She’s an open book

Stefani Germanotta and her handlers did a remarkable job of creating the Lady Gaga character. But she’s shown herself to be a real person underneath. In the recent Rolling Stone, she spills her guts about her fears, hang-ups and obsessions in as honest an interview as you’ll ever read. Along with expressing concerns about her father’s heart surgery, she talked about her fears of being susceptible to lupus — not exactly sexy subject matter for a pop diva.

9. Reaching out to the ‘out’ community

Lady Gaga borrows heavily from gay and drag fashion and music, and although the association may be taboo for a lot of pop stars and may turn off middle America, she embraces the community. She told MTV News, "The turning point for me was the gay community," she said. "I’ve got so many gay fans, and they’re so loyal to me and they really lifted me up. They’ll always stand by me, and I’ll always stand by them. It’s not an easy thing to create a fanbase. … Being invited to play [the San Francisco Pride rally], that was a real turning point for me as an artist."

10. Her work ethic

Away from the stage, she’s created a few bizarre public spectacles, most notably at Mets and Yankees games. But for the most part, Lady Gaga hasn’t been the drunken party animal that so many of her peers have become. During that "Today Show" appearance she told Matt Lauer that while on tour, she spends a lot of time in her hotel room writing. Explaining the song "Telephone," originally written for Britney Spears, she told MTV News, "I don’t go to nightclubs. You don’t see pictures of me falling out of a club drunk. I don’t go — and that’s because I usually go and then, you know, a whiskey and a half into it, I got to get back to work. Because I love my work so much, I find it really hard to go out and have a good time." The proof might be in her production. She’s already completed a third album — something for the little monsters to look forward to next year.

the evolution of training

For the past 55 years U-2 Dragon Lady crews have soared high above the earth collecting intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance information to aid in the fight against enemy forces. Throughout the years, even with the advances in technology, the mission remained the same.

Over time, several changes in the aircraft and protective equipment have evolved to help the U-2 and its pilots better perform their mission. Training to become a U-2 pilot has also evolved from "learn on the fly" to a detailed training course requiring approximately nine months to complete.

In the late 1950s,tiffany bracelets clearance, when the first U-2 pilot trainees were becoming familiar with the aircraft, there were no instructors, no two-seater trainer aircraft, no ejection seats, no full pressure suits, no full-scale base at which to train and no technical manuals or history for reference.

In 1957, there was simply a dried up lake in Nevada called Groom Lake with a bare-bones training ground the pilots referred to as "The Ranch".

The U-2 had no operational testing done by the Air Force before its pilots graced the cockpit. The pilots tested the aircraft while learning its movements and capabilities. The shiny, silver, short-nosed structure far differed from the flat, black, long-nosed platform of today. Pilots also wore a silver, skin-tight partial pressure suit to protect them at high altitudes, which was also new to the Air Force.

The U-2 was a low-budget aircraft even for the 1950s, said retired Lt. Col. Tony Bevacqua, one of the first U-2 pilots. The plane wasn’t given the best instruments or equipment available at the time, and it wasn’t until later in the program that the cockpit was upgraded to give U-2 pilots what they need to perform the mission as easily as possible.

The aircraft was flown to Groom Lake in pieces and then assembled and flown by a Lockheed test pilot. Upon the Lockheed pilot’s approval of the assembly, the aircraft was handed over to the Air Force and training began.

Colonel Bevacqua recalled his time at Groom Lake and how he was completely focused on learning a brand new style of flying.

"There wasn’t anything to do except fly and get the training," Colonel Bevacqua said. "It was pretty boring really, unless we were learning the new system."

The beginning of the U-2′s history was highly classified. Pilots were interviewed by members of the Central Intelligence Agency and when accepted were off on an adventure they knew little to nothing about.

"All I knew was that I was going to Connecticut for a pressure suit fitting and then to Wright-Patterson (Air Force Base, Ohio,) for altitude chamber training and a further fitting," Colonel Bevacqua said. "I was told I would be flying to March AFB (Calif.,) and meet a guy there who would take me the rest of the way."

Upon arrival at Groom Lake, they were thrust into training and performed numerous touch and go flights as they adjusted to the handling characteristics of the U-2. Within a week of training, pilots performed their first high-flights in the partial pressure suit.

"The partial suit was fitted and acted like a girdle," Colonel Bevacqua said. "It was skin tight throughout and when you lost pressurization, the external hoses would enlarge and tighten the suit more. It did its job by preventing your blood from boiling, but it was very uncomfortable."

The first pilots arrived at Groom Lake and completed their entire training in less than three weeks. They flew to Laughlin Air Force Base, Texas where they became operational pilots and instructor pilots for the second class.

"Everything back then was pushing the envelope to get somewhere where human beings weren’t designed to go," said Maj. Mark Ferstl, a U-2 student pilot at the 1st Reconnaissance Squadron. "They didn’t have a lot to go on, but in some ways the lack of knowledge and experience may have been a motivator."

In today’s training, pilots are interviewed first, which includes several interview flights at low altitude to see how a pilot handles the aircraft. Once accepted into the program, they fly T-38 Talons for three months and learn survival skills before even sitting in a U-2 cockpit again.

Part of their survival training includes several training sessions in the high-altitude flight chamber at the 9th Physiological Support Squadron. Major Ferstl said it’s a big confidence booster once the training is complete and pilots are comfortable in the suit.

"The full pressure suit has not failed anybody at altitude, tiffany Pendant," he said. "The people at suit training want to prove to you that the suit is going to save your life, and they do that. They take you up to altitude in the chamber, and it’s a great confidence builder."

Major Ferstl said it was hard to imagine how the first pilots went through training not knowing if the pressure suit was going to save them.

"Knowing what I know now, I probably wouldn’t fly in a partial pressure suit," he said. "Those guys were the pioneers, pushing the envelope, and they’ve forged the way for us."

Once they are comfortable in the pressure suit and qualified to fly the T-38, pilots then fly two-seater U-2s at low altitudes with an instructor pilot. By flying in two-seater aircraft, pilots learn the characteristics of the U-2, and instructors can test them on different aspects of flight.

"The instructors are phenomenal," Major Ferstl said. "We’ve got the best instructor pilots and they are very understanding and professional. They’ve all been where we are and are amazing pilots and instructors."

Once their low sortie flights are completed, student pilots will take off on a high flight with an instructor. Once the instructors deem them qualified, students will perform solo flights at low altitudes, then complete several solo high flights before graduating the program. Student pilots will fly 20 U-2 sorties before graduating the program and deploying for the first time.

"The training does a great job giving you a well-rounded experience," Major Ferstl said. "I fully expect what I learned here will get me through my first few deployments, but you can always learn more."

The U-2 training program has evolved during the past five decades. State-of-the-art equipment is now available to student pilots and more time is spent on their training to ensure they’re capable of piloting such a unique aircraft.

When the program first started, tiffany necklaces clearance, its secrecy and unfamiliarity provided challenges to pilots like Colonel Bevacqua who paved the way for today’s newest U-2 pilots.

With the advancements in technology and a full history book to learn from, shop for tiffany, today’s U-2 pilots, tiffany bangles sale, such as Major Ferstl, are trained by experienced instructors, on the best available equipment, to become more capable of delivering high-altitude intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance data.

Ladies & Gentlemen

In an exciting new configuration, each single-CD volume in the Setlist series will consist of remastered .mp3-ready live tracks drawn from each artist’s vast archive of live album recordings. The CD is embedded with computer-accessible .pdf files containing liner notes essays, discographical information, photography, tiffany bracelets for sale, bonus features, and more. The package itself will be a plastic-free, 100% recycled paper, recyclable eco-friendly digi-pak, and the product line will be priced for budget-minded consumers.

The Setlist series takes advantage of the multitudes of live recordings – some rarities, others released on best-selling albums, and still some others remaining previously unreleased in the vaults – until now. In the case of Alabama, Quiet Riot, and REO Speedwagon, at least half the Setlist tracks are previously unreleased. Multiple unreleased tracks or rarities can also be found on the Setlists for Blue Oyster Cult, Jefferson Airplane, Judas Priest, and Kansas. (Specifics are delineated in the album listings below.)

The Playlist series has grown to include music from across the entire musical spectrum, from classic rock (Clash, Electric Light Orchestra, Janis Joplin, Lovin’ Spoonful, Ozzy Osbourne, Lou Reed) to modern rock (Korn, Crash Test Dummies), pop (Backstreet Boys, Toni Braxton, John Denver, *NSYNC, Britney Spears), R&B (Destiny’s Child, Ginuwine, R. Kelly, Luther Vandross), hip-hop (Cypress Hill, OutKast), jazz (Miles Davis, Billie Holiday), and country (Alabama, Brooks & Dunn, Johnny Cash, David Allen Coe, Merle Haggard, Waylon Jennings, Lonestar, Martina McBride). Similarly, the Setlist series will follow the same path as future batches of releases are announced.

An aggressive sales, marketing, promotion, and advertising campaign will be launched by Legacy and Sony Music in support of the Setlist series. The track listings for the first 11 volumes are as follows:

Discount Window Borrowings Plunge To Just $11 Mill

In all the recent hoopla over Excess Reserves and spurious rumors over whether or not they should generate any form of interest (readers will recall a key catalyst for a surge in the market two weeks ago was the expectedly false rumor that Bernanke would announce the elimination of any IOR (Interest Paid On Reserves) rather than keeping the even current minimal 0.25% rate), everyone seems to have forgotten that old staple: the Discount Window. And probably logically so: while the Excess Reserve issue is one that deals with excess liquidity in the banking system (by definition: otherwise it would be lent out to consumers), Discount Window-related concerns deal with the opposite, or a liquidity deficiency. Logically, the two are mutually exclusive: near record excess reserves held with Federal Reserve Banks simply means that banks are not in any want for money (of any term, but most specifically ultra-short term).Looking at the Fed’s H.4.1 statement confirms that for the week ended July 29, the Fed’s Primary Credit facility (aka the current version of the Discount Window, together with the Secondary Credit and the Seasonal Credit Facility) usage has plummeted to just $11 million: a negligible number for a "rescue facility" that at the peak of the crisis saw more than $100 billion in overnight borrowings. The finding is not surprising, when considering that the rate on the Primary Credit Facility is 0.75%. As this is higher than the rate on the 2 Year Treasury, there is very little banks can do in reinvesting capital that is more expensive than even long-term funding sources. In other words, with well over a trillion in Excess Reserves, banks are becoming increasingly self-funding, at least in the medium term, and seek to disintermediate themselves from the Fed. In looking at the same problem, but from the perspective of the IOR, the Atlanta Fed concludes: "One broad justification for an IOR policy is precisely that it induces banks to hold quantities of excess reserves that are large enough to mitigate the need for central banks to extend the credit necessary to keep the payments system running efficiently. And, of course, mitigating those needs also means mitigating the attendant risks." An environment in which banks are increasingly leery of relying on the Fed for funding, irrespective of whether IOR at 0.00% or 0.25%, is not one in which consumer should expect to see any incremental lending any time soon.

The chart below shows discount window borrowings since 2007, combing the Primary and Seconady Credit facilities.

A glance at the other side, or the Fed’s "excess liquidity" liabilities, reveals that while Excess Reserves have declined by almost $200 billion since their peak of $1.227 trillion on February 24, to the current $1.045 trillion, the balance has been more than made up by the Deposits with FR Banks other than Reserves, which during the same period has more than offset the Excess Reserve decline, climbing from $45 billion to $250 billion. Indeed, as the chart below demonstrates, banks continue basking in the glow of the Fed liquidity excess, whether they collect 0.25% on this capital or not. While the $205 billion increase in the latter category deserves an analysis of its own, we will put that off to a future date.

Combining the two charts yields the following observation: there are three distinct regimes visible: the first one pre Bear Stearns, was one in which the ratio of Primary Credit Borrowings to Excess Reserves was negligible. Then, at the collapse of Bear (blue shaded area), the ratio of Discount Window Borrowing to Excess Reserves surged to over 100%, at its peak hitting 250%: this was Regime 2. However, Regime 2 promptly ended when Lehman also failed, pendants, pushing the ratio back to historical levels, as Excess Reserves took off to offset for the massive surge in Fed "assets" as part of QE 1.0. With the most recent reading, the ratio of the two is back to 0.0%.

So what happens next?

If, as Bullard expects, QE 2 is imminent, then the assets imminently purchased by the Fed will result in yet another massive offset of Excess Reserves: in other words, should QE 2.0 prove to be about $2-3 trillion, all of a sudden banks will find themselves depositing instead of $1 trillion in cash with the Fed, anywhere between $3 and $4 trillion. When one considers the FRNs in circulation are less than $1 trillion (as the other main Fed liability), and this relationships starts to get problematic. If the Fed has difficulty explaining why banks are unwilling to lend to consumers when there is over $1 trillion in cash sitting and collecting dust, or 0.25% as it is technically known, the problem gets even thornier when Bernanke (and Jamie Dimon) have to defend 4 times this number. Surely, bangles, the US consumer will demand that banks open up the spigot and provide cash to everyone no matter what their creditworthiness, simply as a result of all the excess money floating around. Will lowering the IOR to 0% at that point help? Not at all due to massive problems such a move would create in the shadow banking system. Very much contrary to expectations of lowering the IOR to 0%, Bernanke in fact provided reasons for why such a move would make no sense:

"… Lowering the interest rate it pays on excess reserve–now at 0.25%–could create trouble in money markets, he said.

" ‘The rationale for not going all the way to zero has been that we want the short-term money markets, like the federal funds market, to continue to function in a reasonable way,’ he said.

" ‘Because if rates go to zero, there will be no incentive for buying and selling federal funds–overnight money in the banking system–and if that market shuts down … it’ll be more difficult to manage short-term interest rates when the Federal Reserve begins to tighten policy at some point in the future.’ "

In other words, all those who say QE2.0 will do nothing to stimulate the economy are correct, as all such a greenlighted action would encourage is the warehousing of yet more cash by banks. And since banks have no incremental incentives to lend it out, it doesn’t matter if the Fed’s liabilities are $2.5 trillion or $2.5 quadrillion. Instead of stimulating inflation, which is the end goal, all such an action would do is to create further doubts about the stability of the dollar, which in turn, as Ambrose Evans-Pritchard discussed, is a sure way to go to hyperinflation without first passing either Go,cuff Links, or inflation. Hyperinflation: not in the sense of a pull-driven rise in prices from cheap consumer credit, but a complete collapse of faith in the monetary unit of exchange, likely predicated by a rush to physical commodities and a collapse in the paper system supporting the forced shorting of commodities such as gold. And with Treasuries yielding next to zero courtesy of the expectation of the Fed becoming the end buyer for all paper, and stocks surging to infinity, on the assumption that the Fed will not allow the failure of any risk assets, the end result will be the most divergent market in history, in which both inflation and deflation are priced at the very margins with no gray area inbetween (a theme we have been observing increasingly more often on the pages of Zero Hedge). While that may be good in the short-term for long-only holders of any asset classes, in the medium run (not to mention long), it means the end of the financial system, as the Fed will be caught in a Catch 22 whereby it needs to sustain the perception that it will print into infinity to maintain the divergence, tiffany, or else the convergence will be one of catastrophic proportions. Of course, watches, even the continued decoupling between inflation and deflation will ultimately eat away at the core of the monetary system, resulting in the complete destruction of the dollar. And with both inflation and deflation priced in at the extreme margin, the only sure alternative will be non-paper based forms of exchange. And unless someone can come up with a substitute to the 2,000 year old legacy cash alternative of gold, it is obvious what real asset class will benefit at the end, as society once again reverts from a monetary system to something far simpler, and far less encumbered by the scourge of any society that are Central Banks.

Lady Braves’ rally falls a run short at North

After Shelby Morris hit a grand slam to give her Columbus North softball team an 8-2 lead against Brownstown Central on Saturday morning, Braves coach Monte Ault said he was interested to see how his team would respond.

He liked what he saw from the Braves, as they rallied back with runs in the final three innings, but they came up short 8-7.

“The grad slam hurt us, but we didn’t give up,” Ault said. “That’s what I like about this team. We came back and didn’t give up. If we get another hit, we tie the game up.”

North held an 8-6 lead going into the top of the seventh. Brooke Metz led off the inning Tiffany Key Rings a double high off the fence in left-center that missed by a foot of going out. She advanced to third on an infield out, and she later scored on a wild pitch.

Alli Nolan then singled for her second hit of the game, but was left stranded at second base when the next batter popped out to the shortstop to end the game.

“I knew they were a good hitting team,” Ault said. “We hit the ball hard, too. Brooke lacked a foot of hitting a home run, Alli hit the ball hard and Chelsea (Scott) hit the ball hard every time she got up. Caitlin (Conrad) made a good bunt and hit the ball hard. Everybody in the lineup hit the ball.”

The Bull Dogs bunched a fielder’s choice and two hits to take a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the first, and then used two hits and two Brave errors to score a pair of unearned runs in the second for a 3-0 lead.

Scott put the Braves on the scoreboard by leading off the fourth inning with a home run.

Kristen Mellencamp doubled in the fifth and scored on an error.

Brownstown scored four runs in the sixth, with the big hit being a two-run single by discount tiffany.

The Braves scored two runs on passed balls and a run on an error.

Brownstown had nine hits, and Scott led the Braves with a home run and a double, while Metz and Mellencamp had doubles and Nolan and Riley had two hits apiece. Scott scored two runs, and Conrad had two RBIs.

Cheyenne Riley allowed six earned runs and 10 hits and didn’t have any strikeouts or walks.

“Our pitching was solid. Alli called a good game,” Ault said. “We made some nice Tiffany Bangles plays. Mellencamp made a big stop, Cat (Allen) made a big stop at third, and Hannah (Bays) played a good second base. ”

The Braves are 13-6 and will travel to Paoli today and to Mitchell on Thursday before turning their attention to the Eastern Sectional, where they will play Providence.

“We didn’t win, but I was pleased as a team,” Ault said. “I want everybody hitting from top to bottom, and we want to be playing our best softball come sectional.”
