I've been sewing since I was a kid, but I graduated from SIUC (Southern Illinois University at Carbondale in 2005) with a degree in fashion design and a minor in advertising. I got back to St. Louis and wanted to get my business going, but fashion was hard because I like to get a custom fit on customers, so I had to think of something that I felt comfortable selling without seeing the person.
